FAA and FCC Approved Testing Center in New Jersey at Essex County Airport (KCDW)
Century Air is an FAA and FCC approved written testing center located at Essex County Airport (KCDW aka Caldwell Airport) in Caldwell, New Jersey, approximately 30 minutes from New York City. We offer a comfortable, quiet, and professional testing environment for all FAA pilot knowledge exams, as well as FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit exams, which are required for pilots operating internationally and in certain commercial aviation contexts. Our testing facilities are open to all pilots and applicants, not only Century Air students. Tests may be scheduled between 8 AM and 7 PM Monday through Friday, and 8 AM to 6 PM on weekends, subject to Test Proctor availability.

To schedule your FAA written exam at Century Air, Essex County Airport (KCDW), Caldwell NJ, follow these steps:
First:
Log onto IACRA and receive your FAA Tracking Number (FTN). You will need this number to register for your written exam. You should have an IACRA account from previously registering for your Student Pilot Certificate.

The FAA written exam fee is paid directly to PSI when registering. Verify the current fee at faa.psiexams.com before registering, as PSI exam fees are subject to change. As of the most recent update to this page, the fee was $173.
Registration should be completed at least 24 hours prior to your test date/start time.
