The Northeast’s Premier Flight and Simulator Training Center

Century Air’s Simulator Training Center is approved by most aircraft insurance companies for initial and recurrent training for aircraft owners. Our Simulator Training Center is conveniently located at the Essex County Airport (KCDW) in Northern New Jersey, only 30 minutes from New York City. Pilots who fly-in for training will have overnight accommodations available within 5 minutes from the training center, while aircraft parking and transportation are conveniently accessible beside the training center.

Professional Training Environment for Initial and Recurrent Training

Century Air’s Simulator Training Center is owned and operated by Richard Greene, a retired American Airlines Captain, FAA Designated Examiner, and President of Century Air, with over 50 years in general aviation training. Our training programs implement CRM (Crew Resource Management) and LOFT (Line Oriented Flight Training) methodologies, bringing airline-quality training standards to general aviation pilots. This level of experience and expertise is rarely found in general aviation, and the full training program including ground school, simulator training and aircraft training (as needed) can be completed at our Essex County Airport facility in Fairfield, New Jersey.

State-of-the-Art Simulators

Century Air’s Simulator Training Center features the Garmin G1000 glass-cockpit simulator (AATD) and the Redbird MCX full-motion – single or multi-engine simulator. The G1000 Mentor simulator replicates the avionics suite found in Cessna 172S, Cirrus SR-20 and SR-22, and other modern glass-panel aircraft, making it an ideal training tool for pilots who fly G1000-equipped aircraft. The MCX full motion simulator is also approved for IFR training and G1000 with the added benefit of full-motion ability and multi-engine training capacity. The MCX is panel-specific to simulate a variety of multi-engine aircraft including Piper Twin Comanche, Seminole and Beechcraft Baron. All simulator training is conducted by highly experienced, professional FAA-certified instructors and is structured for each individual pilot’s aircraft type and training objectives.

Training courses are available for Beechcraft, Cessna, Piper, TBM and Cirrus aircraft

Initial and recurrent courses are offered for a variety of aircraft including:

• Beechcraft Bonanza and Baron
• Cessna 182, 206 and 210, 310, 340, 401, 402, 404, 414, and 421
• Piper Arrow, Aerostar, Apache, Seminole, Seneca & Comanche (single and twin)
• Cirrus SR-20, SR-22
