Jerry Krivitzky

Jerry Krivitzky has been a long time client of Century Air since he began his private pilot training in 2002. Thereafter he earned his instrument and commercial while also piloting his personally owned single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza. Over the years, Jerry has been generously donating his time to Angel Flight NE, a non-profit organization, where he has built up over 2700 flight hours transporting patients to destinations for life-saving medical care. A worthy cause indeed! We congratulate Jerry on the addition of his multi-engine rating to his list of achievements. He completed this rating in Century Air's Twin Comanche (seen here) [...]

Congratulations, Mohammad Ajaj – Professional Pilot Graduate!

Mohammad Ajaj is Century Air's latest proud graduate of the professional pilot program (seen here with Richard Greene, right). Aside from his many accomplishments as a pilot, he travels extensively with his position as Chief Operating Officer of a large national company, Metrolink, LLC., and is also a devoted husband and father of five young children. With a successful business and growing family, at thirty one years old Mohammed decided it was time to realize his [...]

Salvatore Apice

Sal Apice began learning to fly when he received a wonderful gift from his brother on his 40th birthday - a full private pilot course!  Sal (right) earned his pilot’s certificate on January 25 and, very fittingly, his brother Jim (left) was his first passenger. Although Sal is a new private pilot, he is not new to aviation. He has been flying model aircraft as a weekend hobby for many years. And it's a giant hobby! Sal builds and flies 1/3rd scale RC aircraft with 12 foot wing spans - from Cessna 182's to turbine jet aircraft. It's an amazing [...]

Ruthven Atkins

Ruthven Atkins worked as a Police Officer in his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago for sixteen years before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming a commercial pilot. He completed his private pilot certificate in the warm and sunny Caribbean climate, however; he quickly realized that there were many limitations to learning to fly in that region. There are very few airports, as well as a very unstructured and basic airspace system, and navigation is too simplistic. He knew he would need a more challenging training environment to learn real world skills and to eventually have a chance of competing [...]

Another Century Air Graduate is Hired by a Major Airline!

Congratulations, Walid Khallaf for your most recent achievements - landing a First Officer position with Egypt Air, and also passing your ATP check ride with Century Air! Walid enrolled in Century Air's Professional Pilot Program in 2010 (starting with zero hours) and in only four years he has met his goal of flying the Airbus A-320 with Egypt Air. He now has over 2000 hours and is flying routes all over the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Walid holds dual citizenship in Egypt and the USA, so he had many career path options to choose from. The position with Egypt [...]

Congratulations, Captain Joe Farley!

Century Air graduate, Joseph Farley, is our most recent success story - having just upgraded to Captain with American Eagle! Joe began his career in 2003 when he chose to enroll with Century Air’s flight program in affiliation with CCM’s (County College of Morris) AviationTechnology degree program.  Joe quickly earned his pilot certificates and his college degree while also working for Century Air as a dispatcher.   In 2006, Joe achieved CFI status and immediately moved up to an instructor position teaching private and commercial students.  It took only one year before American Eagle hired Joe for a first officer position [...]

Chad Venadas

A special congratulations goes out to Chad Venadas who recently completed his private pilot certification and is currently studying for his instrument rating. Like most pilots, Chad has had a dream of learning to fly since his childhood. Unfortunately, one day while he was out playing with other children, he was struck in the face causing him to completely lose sight in his left eye. After extensive surgery, doctors were able to return only 20% of his vision. Although this was a definite setback for Chad, he never lost hope of achieving his dream and now he proudly holds a [...]

Josh is from Cairo, Egypt, and at the age of 21, he ventured to the USA to pursue his dream of learning to fly and eventually becoming an airline pilot. Although he looked at a lot of schools, he decided to follow the advice of a colleague who highly recommended Century Air for his training. Josh says he's very glad he made that choice! With excellent English skills and a strong desire to achieve his goals, Josh earned his [...]

Martin Davidson

Meet Martin Davidson of NYC, a private pilot who holds an instrument rating and is currently working towards his commercial pilot certificate with Century Air. Martin works in the computer industry during the week, and spends his evenings and weekends enjoying his well earned certificate in his brand new Diamond DA-40 (purchased straight from the factory). This is the dream of most pilots... to own an aircraft and enjoy the freedom of flight anytime you desire! Martin partnered with another Century Air student, Mario Verciani, to cut the cost of ownership in half. Very smart! Mario is also a private [...]

Karim Nofal

Karim Nofal is Century Air's newest instrument rated pilot. Originally from Egypt, Karim came to the USA in August to pursue his dream of becoming a commercial pilot. Karim chose Century Air for his training on the referral of fellow student and Egyptian schoolmate, Josh ElNaggar. When asked about his training, Karim said "This was the best training of my life. The instrument rating was really difficult, but I worked hard and I'm very proud of myself. The day of my flight test, the winds were really gusting but I did well because of the great training I received! " [...]
